In this webinar, Barbara asks the question, could we, as a society, be moving closer to an environment where the predispositions for type 2 diabetes could manifest more easily? We will be looking at the physiological effects of long-term stress, and exploring how this feels physically, and in turn how this might impinge upon our life. For example, sleep patterns changing, concentration and short-term memory being affected, problems with digestion, and ultimately effecting our motivation to get up and go. In the webinar, we will look to understand these physical changes, and look at how we can help to relieve them. Could it be that in our more stressful lifestyles, people should be considering changing what they are eating, and ideally supporting their health by selecting fewer challenging foods? We will also be looking at the imbalance created in the all-important electrolyte balance, that if left unaddressed may lead to people being more prone to panic attacks or high levels of anxiety.
